Linacre Ethics Forum



The Linacre Ethics Forum is back again for the new academic year, and they’ve got a great line up of speakers for you. The venue will be in the ground floor meeting room in Vaughan House, 46 Francis Street, SW1P 1QN (behind Westminster Cathedral), with the generous support of the Westminster Department of Pastoral Affairs.

These talks are aimed particularly at students or junior healthcare professionals (medical or nursing students, junior doctors, scientists, pharmacists etc), but anyone who is interested is welcome.

The forum sessions this academic year will be:

Tuesday 19th January   - Dilemmas in healthcare: some case scenarios - Dr Luke Howard

Tuesday 16th February - Abortion, legal and illegal - Dr Michael Jarmulowicz
Tuesday 2nd March      - Ethics in bioscience - Professor Nicanor Austriaco OP
Tuesday 20th April       - What is the right response to suffering in palliative care? - Stephen Cole (RTH) ORH
Tuesday 25th May       - Crisis pregnancy counselling - Sr Andrea Fraile

Tea/coffee at 6.30 for a prompt 7pm start.

This excellent line up is coming to the forum for you, to help you face difficult dilemmas and prepare in advance, so you can present a life-affirming bioethical position persuasively in your professional lives.
